External size & usable space
Start with the footprint.A 48 × 18 × 38 in planning envelope converts to 1219.2 × 457.2 × 965.2 mm. External dimensions include the cabinet body. Measure the clear shelf width and depth separately, then allow for doors, handles and customer circulation.
Card holders & display capacity
Count a layout, not an outline.Use the actual holder width, height and thickness. Allow space between holders and beneath grading labels. Multiply usable positions per row by the usable rows; for an island, calculate each face individually. Keep displayed cards and reserve stock as separate totals.
Lighting & glass
Keep the card readable.Choose the LED position around the viewing angle. Review reflections with the intended holders, room lighting and glass. Identify driver access, wiring routes, destination voltage and replaceable components before fixing the cabinet layout.
Assembly & cabinet connections
Plan the installation sequence.Record the cabinet access route, assembly space and floor level. Define the connections between units, wall anchoring, hardware schedule and cable interfaces. Match every packed unit to an assembly drawing and parts list.
Inserts, finishes & graphics
Coordinate the visible details.Select an insert color that supports label readability. Review a physical finish sample alongside your lighting. Specify the logo position, artwork size, replaceable graphic panels and connections between adjacent finishes.
Storage & delivery preparation
Make the hidden space useful.Separate card storage from display space. Specify drawer opening clearance, dividers and label positions using your boxes and sleeves. Record packed dimensions, cabinet orientation, protective materials and unloading access for delivery planning.
