Send a measured route from the unloading point to the cabinet position before packing is finalised. Record doors, lifts, turns, handling arrangements and storage space. Ask for the packed dimensions and assembly state separately from the cabinet dimensions. For card-show displays, also check the event table, vehicle opening and return packing so transport constraints are included in the original brief.
Plan with a Specific Cabinet Format.
Reference configurations for quotation planning. Dimensions are L × D × H in mm; inch values are converted. Final dimensions, materials and components are confirmed in the approved project drawings.

Card Show Displays: what to specify.
For measurements to send before shipping a display cabinet, use the following requirements from the linked fixture system to make the next supplier discussion concrete. These are planning inputs, not tested performance ratings.
- Event constraints
- For this order: Provide booth size, setup time, venue rules and permitted fixing methods. Record the selected option and drawing reference.
- Transport
- For this order: Confirm vehicle access, package limits, lifting method and reuse frequency. Record the selected option and drawing reference.
- Security
- For this order: Define lockable display and overnight storage arrangements. Record the selected option and drawing reference.
- Assembly
- For this order: Agree removable parts, hardware kits and assembly instructions. Record the selected option and drawing reference.
Three decisions for your fixture purchase.
- 01
Measure the delivery route, not only the final cabinet position.
- 02
Review packed size, weight and assembly state with the receiving team before shipment.
- 03
Identify package contents, handling responsibilities and the return-packing plan for portable displays.
Map the full receiving route
Mark the unloading point, building entry, lift if used, corridor turns, store entrance and final cabinet position. Photograph restrictions with a visible scale and identify dimensions that still need site confirmation. A straight doorway measurement alone may miss a turn or handling constraint. The destination team should confirm that the proposed route and equipment suit the actual packed unit.

Distinguish cabinet and packed measurements
Ask the packing schedule to list cabinet dimensions, package dimensions, packed weight, package count and assembly state on separate fields. Protection, a crate base or loose components can change the handling envelope. Do not use a rendered cabinet image to infer the shipping size. Obtain the proposed packing details before committing the receiving arrangement and update them if the configuration changes.

Review doors, turns and lifts together
Record clear openings rather than nominal door sizes. Include protruding hardware and fixed obstacles. If the route requires turning or changing orientation, have the responsible delivery or installation team review it using the actual package geometry and handling equipment. Avoid assuming that diagonal clearance or a tilted position is acceptable without checking the packing instructions and safe handling method.

Plan the unloading and temporary storage
Identify who unloads, what equipment is available, where packages can rest and when access is permitted. Review the receiving surface and any building restrictions with the destination team. Keep temporary storage out of required circulation routes. Package weights and handling points must come from the confirmed schedule; do not infer that a cabinet can be lifted by two people from its appearance.
Add a card-show transport check
For portable displays, measure the permitted event table footprint, the vehicle loading opening and the protected storage space used between events. Confirm the proposed packed weight, assembly sequence and space for empty packaging during the show. Trial setup and pack-down with the selected design. A portable use case needs an agreed handling plan; the word portable does not establish weight or ease of lifting.
Coordinate protection and assembly state
Discuss which parts arrive assembled and which are separately protected. Identify glazing, removable shelves, trays, hardware and electrical components in the packing list. FedEx publishes general packing guidance, but the carrier and packing team must review suitability for the actual route and shipment. A general checklist does not certify the crate or guarantee that damage cannot occur.
Prepare labels and receiving records
Give each package an identifier that matches the fixture schedule and assembly information. Ask the packing list to identify loose-part containers and any items needed first on site. Prepare a receiving record for package condition, count and observed discrepancies. Keep the inspection contact route available so the receiving team can report an issue without guessing which product or shipment it concerns.
Close the transport brief before release
Send BENSON the measured route, delivery restrictions, receiving contact, cabinet quantities and destination. Ask the proposal to identify packing, transport and installation responsibilities in writing. Confirm the final package schedule before dispatch. For repeat events, retain the accepted packing layout and inspect protective materials before reuse rather than assuming the original protection remains suitable indefinitely.
Translate the guidance into a specification check.
Use these parameters to record the actual merchandise, clear dimensions and configuration required for the cabinet quotation.
Compare one controlled basis.
How we apply this decision.
For measurements to send before shipping a display cabinet, use the records described above with the actual merchandise and site. Identify package contents, handling responsibilities and the return-packing plan for portable displays. Send the matching product references and questions to BENSON so the proposal can identify what is confirmed and what remains open.
Review BENSON capabilities →What still needs configuration confirmation.
This guide provides a procurement method for measurements to send before shipping a display cabinet. It does not establish fixed dimensions, capacity, load ratings, certification, protective performance, commercial terms or delivery outcomes. Confirm the selected construction, site conditions and required evidence in the approved project documents.
Prepare the required inputs →Avoid these shortcuts.
- Treating a reference image as an approved production specification.
- Comparing suppliers without identical dimensions, quantities and delivery scope.
- Separating material, lighting or hardware decisions from the drawing revision.
- Leaving packing, local installation and site interfaces undefined.
Before the next approval.
- Measure the delivery route, not only the final cabinet position.
- Review packed size, weight and assembly state with the receiving team before shipment.
- Identify package contents, handling responsibilities and the return-packing plan for portable displays.
- Record each open point, owner, due date and required evidence.
Answers to the next practical questions.
01Can I plan delivery from the cabinet dimensions?+
Use them as one input, but request packed dimensions, weight and assembly state. Packaging and handling requirements can change the route and equipment needed.
02Does a card-show display arrive ready to carry?+
Confirm the actual design, packed weight, handling method and protection. Portable describes the use case and should not be treated as a weight or handling guarantee.
03What if access measurements are not available yet?+
Mark them as unresolved and obtain a destination survey before approving package size or dispatch arrangements. Do not replace an unknown opening with an assumption.
